Exodus 32:1

Read the Word
Exodus 32

Answer the Questions
from Exodus 32:1

1. Where was Moses? What was he doing there? (Ex. 24-31)
2. What about the circumstances caused the people to speak to Aaron? How would you describe their attitude?
3. What was their solution to the situation?
4. What kind of a god did they want? How does this desire express their criticism of God?
5. By reducing their exodus from Egypt to the work of a man, what are they forgetting? Find key verses from the earlier chapters of Exodus that vividly show the power of God on their behalf.
6. How does their last statement about Moses further show their lack of submission to him and therefore their lack of submission to the God he obeys?

Take it to Heart
A response of impatience to God's timetable is all it took to turn the people away from Him to seek a god of their own invention.
