Answer the Questions
from Matthew 24:9-13
1. What will those who stand for Jesus Christ experience, especially as the time for the second coming of Christ draws nearer? v. 9
2. How will some who professed to know Christ respond to the troubles? v.10a
3. Think about this amplified version of "fall away": "many will be offended and repelled and begin to distrust and desert Him (whom they ought to trust and obey) and will stumble and fall away".
4. After being offended by the affliction God has allowed, what other results are there in the lives of those who fall away from Him? v.10-12
5. There are many kinds of trouble in life. Examine your heart response.
6. What does it take to be among those who endure to the end? John 10:23-29
Take it to Heart
Do not be easily offended when God does not do things your way, but give in to His wise and perfect rule.
How To Join Me in My Study
I am reading through the Bible in a year, a portion of the Old and New Testaments every day. If you choose to read from the same plan, you will have the context for my postings. Request an electronic copy of the plan by emailing me.
As I read the daily Bible passages and use observation skills that I have learned through the years, God gives me nuggets of truth that restore my soul, make me wise, rejoice my heart, and enlighten my eyes, just as He promises He will do in Psalm 19.
I love to share those nuggets of truth with other women, especially those who are also reading the Word and seeking the same kind of spiritual nourishment. I will post questions that will help you to observe and understand the Scriptures as you read the same passages that I am reading. My questions will not cover all of the Scripture reading you are doing, but they will serve to encourage you to keep reading and studying, learning to feed yourself from the Word of God.
There is much work on your part...you are to be a woman who is regularly reading the Scriptures. May God bless you in your desire to grow in your understanding of truth, your love for Him and for others, and your obedience to His word.
